True Friendship Among Men

Our Mission

Men have particular needs and ways of doing things. They like to be productive and to contribute to those around them. To create friendship, men want to be doing something at the same time they're talking. We don't just talk; we do something and talk while doing it. Men don't talk face to face, we talk Shoulder to Shoulder.

Local Projects

Seven Men offers a space for talk and fun. Practical skills and knowledge can be exchanged. Something useful can be going on that will contribute to the church or a local community need, while participants experience an improvement in their own well-being by keeping physically, mentally and socially active.

Why the name Seven Men?

"Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, there arose a complaint against the Hebrews by the Hellenists, because their widows were neglected in the daily distribution. Then the twelve summoned the multitude of the disciples and said, “It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word." Acts 6:1-4 NKJV

We like building and fixing things.

What types of projects?

Woodworking, metal work, automotive, general house repairs, and more. We choose to work on projects that we can do together, learn from each other, and have fun in the process. If your project helps us connect with each other, we'll consider it.

Here are some things we're on the lookout for:

  • A permanent workshop space that requires low to no rent expense (We're currently working out of members' garages as available)

  • Tools (drill press, table saw, drills, etc…)

  • Materials (wood, nails, other consumables)

  • Projects (tell us what you need)

We can always use funding
